DAY 1. Arrive Addis Ababa transfer to the hotel. After noon program would be sightseeing tour in Addis Ababa. OVERNIGHT HOTEL

DAY 2. Fly to Gonder. Transfer to Debark, some 100kms north of Gondar town, after processing your National park permit precede to Buitras your first trekking spot. OVERNIGHT CAMPING AT SANKABER.

DAY 3. Start trekking after early breakfast. It is about 4 hours walking to Sankaber, where we camp for the night. It is largely uphill walking via Zengwa. OVERNIGHT CAMPING at Sankaber.

Day 4. Trekking through a landscape of pasture and thin forest to Geech (3,600m a.s.l) for about 5 hours. En route we will see Jumber fall and you will have lunch on the view point, which is endemic to Ethiopia. OVERNIGHT CAMPING at GEECH.

DAY 5. This day is an easy day either. The morning walk takes us to Immetgog peak (3900 m.a.s.\) where we have so splendor scenery of the rocky massifs and deep gorges of the Simien Mountains. The afternoon is at rest. OVERNIGHT CAMPING at GREECH.

DAY 6. We trek from Geech to Cheneck (about 7 hours). Via Amba Ras with a lovely view to the Gorge of Anbergina. OVERNIGHT CAMPING at CHENECK.

DAY 7. A day trekking from our camp in cheneck to the submit of Buhahit (4,430 m). We spend the day exploring the escarpment of Amara Shema with the best chance of seeing the rare and endangered Walia Ibex, a species which endemic to Ethiopia and only be in the Simien Mountains National park. OVERNIGHT CAMPING at CHENECK.

DAY 8. Walking back to Sankaber (about 6-7 hours) where we meet our vehicle for tomorrow’s drive to Gondar. CAMPING AT SANKABER.

DAY 9. Driving to Gondar, which was once the capital of Ethiopia and in the afternoon we visit the castles, which were built in the 17th century by several generations of Ethiopia’s kings. OVERNIGHT HOTEL.

DAY 10: Transfer to Airport for your Departure.

SIMEN MOUTAIN TREEKING AND HISTORIC ROUTE TOUR 16 DAYS and 15 NIGHTS

DAY 1, Arrive in Addis Ababa warm welcome by PTT staff at the airport, and then transfer to your hotel. OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL.

DAY 2, Transfer at 05:00 hrs to the airport to fly to Gonder, and then transfer from the airport to Goha, which is a 20 minutes’ drive away. After check-in at your hotel, start visiting sites in Gonder, the 17th Century capital of Ethiopia. In Gonder, you will visit the castle compound (UNESCO WHS) and King Fasiledes’ Bath, and then return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the Debre Birhan Selassie (The Light of Trinity) church with wonderful murals,Qusqam church and Mentwab palace. You will then return to your hotel at around 18:00 hrs. OVERNIGHT HOTEL.

DAY 3, In the morning, drive to Debark, 100 Km from Gonder, and move on to the Semien Mountains National Park. Proceed a further 37 Kms to Sankaber, you first trekking starting spot, which is 3250 m above sea level. Make a day’s trekking around the camp site to the view points, OVERNIGHT CAMPING.

Day 4, Start trekking with your park guide and scouts to Geech (3600 meters above sea level), a journey which will take you through spectacular scenery, plant and bird life for 5 to 6 hours. Your trekking squad is ahead to ensure that you are warmly welcomed on arrival at Geech. Rest and then in the afternoon, trek to Kedadit, a short distance away, for clear sunset viewing. OVERNIGHT CAMPING.

DAY 5, Trek to Emetogo to enjoy the world’s best landscape formation- an experience worth lifelong trekking memories. It takes you 2 hours to trek back and forth between the view points of Kedadit and Inatye. Lunch will be served in lunch boxes on your way back to Geech for another. OVERNIGHT CAMP.

DAY 6, Trek from Geech to Cheneck. This is a long day of trekking, so you need to get up early in the morning. Lunch will be served in lunch boxes. OVERNIGHT CAMPING AT CHENECH CAMP SITE.

DAY 7, Trek from Cheneck to Ambico. This will be yet another long day with ‘ups and downs’, and yet very exciting. OVERNIGHT CAMPING AT AMBICO VILLAGE.

DAY 8, Trek from Ambico to Ras Dashen, the fourth highest tip of Africa. Start trekking as early as 06:00 to get to the tip of the mountain as early as possible. Have a fun at the tip of the mountain, with lunch being served in lunch boxes, and later return to Ambico by another route. OVERNIGHT CAMPING AT AMBICO VILLAGE.

DAY 9, Trek from Ambico to the lowland of Arkorazey, and spend the night camping at Arkorazey village. OVERNIGHT CAMPING.

DAY 10, Trek from Arkorazey to Lamu and meet the people of Anmhra village en route. Lunch will be served on the way in lunch boxes. OVERNIGHT CAMPING.

DAY 11, Trek from Lamu to Hawaza, another lowland which takes you close to the main road. You will camp around the village of Hawaza. OVERNIGHT CAMPING.

DAY 12, In the morning, walk a short distance to your vehicle and drive to Axum, the 1st Century ancient Ethiopian capital. To reach Axum, you will pass through world’s best land features that you saw from Emetgogo while you trekked. You will return to Axum in the late afternoon. OVERNIGHT HOTEL.

DAY 13, Visit the basic Axumite treasures of the 4th Century; St. Mary church (the 1st church in sub-saharan Africa); different tombs built between the 2nd Century BC and 6th Century AD; unearthed recently, a palace ruin of the famous 1st Century BC queen Sheba; and the archeological museum for Axum’s ancient displays. OVERNIGHT HOTEL.

DAY 14, Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lalibela, the 12th Century Ethiopian capital and holy town. In the afternoon, visit the famous 11 rock hewn churches, the 8th wonders of the world. OVERNIGHT HOTEL.

DAY 15, Morning excursion to Asheton Merry church found on top of a hill. You will be back around mid day. In the afternoon, you will visit the remaining 5 rock hewn churches of Lalibela. After completing your tour of the churches, you will be hosted in one of the traditional houses for coffee. OVERNIGHT HOTEL.

DAY 16, Transfer to the airport for your flight to Addis. Lunch will be in Addis and, and in the evening, you will depart to your country.
